just got my first run with slackware ver 10 and i am very impressed with it looks very good and was way beyond what i wasnt expecting only problem i have so far is that i cann ot get it go online through my other pc, both machines have identical hardware epox 8rda3+ mobo's with amd xp 2500's and 512 mb ddr400 with 80 gig drives and ati 9800 xt video cards i am using the xp sytem conected to my cable modem and then running a crossover cable between the two machines . i guese this has been asked before but where am i going wrong?

You probably already know this...but make sure your windows pc is set to internet connection sharing. Your linux pc should be set to dhcp.

It would be just as easy to use the linux pc for internet connection sharing...and probably more reliable.
