Linux-centos5.6 + MS-AD-2008

Hi

recently v have configurd all the centos-5.6 machines under an windows2008-AD. Authentication happens using an winbind.
our network consists of mix with windows and linux systems, all were configured under an domain except 2 systems.these 2 systems are in workgroup.

i come across 2 situations

1. In windows - whenever i click on network in my-computer window, i am able to see only tat 2 workgroup computers alone. but i can manually access windows and linux shares using ip or computername in run (\\computername)
2. In Linux - whenever i click on network icon, i am able to see only the workgroup and inside the workgroup i am able to see the 2 computers, but i can manually access the windows and linux shares using ip or computername in location path(smb://computername)

This happens in all domain systems . I need to be know whether this is an issue in the network or domain controller or individual systems.

Before you get to far you might want to upgrade to CentOS 5.9
that is the very LAST minor upgrade to the older 5 series

CentOS 5.6 is unsupported
Cent only supports the current version 5.9 and 6.4

Solved the issue!!!!!!!

Some linux systems were not synced with the ntpd of my PDC , manually synced ntp pointing to my PDC, systems were shown in network window.
