Hi All,

I'm trying to getting work an LDAP server on RHEL 4 (AS) box.
I have configured /etc/openldap/slapd.conf file according to my need. The command slaptests showes success. The directory /var/lib/ldap has correct permission.

But When I type
#service ldap start
It shows -
Checking configuration files for : config file testing succeeded
Starting slapd: [FAILED]

The file /var/log/messages shows

Mar 21 16:28:02 vipin slaptest: sql_select option missing
Mar 21 16:28:02 vipin slaptest: auxpropfunc error no mechanism available
Mar 21 16:28:02 vipin ldap: succeeded
Mar 21 16:28:02 vipin slapd[21573]: sql_select option missing
Mar 21 16:28:02 vipin slapd[21573]: auxpropfunc error no mechanism available
Mar 21 16:28:02 vipin ldap: slapd startup failed


Could somebody let me know where is the problem.
