Thanks Nadine.
I went to http://de.samba.org/samba/ftp/Binary.../3.0/i386/9.1/ ,
downloaded libsmbclient-3.0.7-1.1.i586.rpm and installed it.

All works fine now.

Note that the link up there is for suse 9.1, browse the site for other versions.

Yes, I can now view the shared folders of windows machines in the network.
But how do I configure my printer, thats connected to the network via the router?

Does it have a fixed ip ?
Then YAST/Hardware/Printer and choose TCP/IP and give in the ip.
I use it with printer servers and it works perfectly.
It's easy to configure.

I can't choose TCP/ICP. Besides, I don't know the IP. Didn't do the network here at home myself. Is there any way I can see it on the other XP machines?
