Please use the standard abbreviations for bits and bytes (capitalization matters), it's very difficult to figure out what you're saying.
b = bit
B = byte (8 bits)
k = kilo
K = nonsense
m = milli (nonsense in the bit/byte world)
M = mega
1 MB/s = 8 Mb/s
1 Mb/s = 125 kB/s
So do you have a 1MB/s connection or a 1Mb/s connection? Are you downloading at 40kB/s or 40kb/s? I'm assuming from the context of your post that you have a 1Mb/s connection and are downloading at 40kB/s (roughly 30% of your maximum)?
How are you calculating this speed and from what servers are you downloading? Have you done a bandwidth test?
