Iphains and Iptables question.

Hi folks,

RH8.0 box

My box is running Ipchains as default firewall. Both Ipchains and Iptables have been installed as standard installation of RH8.0

ipchains-1.3.10-16
iptables-1.2.6a-2

I want to remove both of them and install Iptables from RH9. Can I install/upgrade following packages which come from RH9

iproute-2.4.7-7.i386.rpm
iptables-ipv6-1.2.7a-2.i386.rpm
iptables-1.2.7a-2.i386.rpm

Can they run on RH8.0 without conflict? What will "iptables-ipv6-1.2.7a-2.i386.rpm" be used for?

Where can I download the latest iptables rpm and its config document.

Thanks in advance.

B.R.
