Internet sharing with cable,hub, win98 and MDK10CE

Hi, I've decided to dual boot my WinXP pc with Mandrake 10CE. This computer is connected to a hub, wich in turn is connected to the cable-modem. The hub is also connected to a laptop running win98. This is working perfectly on the (now) dualbooted pc, but only when running WinXP. When I try connecting with MDK I cannot. I use dhc-client (or smthing) or dhcpcd and the first gives me a correct (according to ipconfig in win anyway) ip adress.

But.

When trying to connect to internet (all this is done through MDK controll center) nothing happens, my browser wont open any pages, and ping doesnt pong. (I've not tried with ip's only with names, so this could be dns related, but I doubt it).

Any ideas?

check whether /etc/resolv.conf has an entry of the correct nameserver

run netstat -r to check that you do have a default gateway

try pinging your default gateway. If that succeeds, try pinging your ISP's name server.

check whether the default firewall is blocking DNS resolution (iptables -nvL)

Thx, it think it was iptables blocking just about everything. Now it's working. :-)
