internet issues in FC2
I have been running Fedora Core 2 for several months now, and everything was working fine until our dsl modem died. they sent us a new modem, and then I couldn't get internet at any reasonable speed on my linux box. All of the windows boxes in the house got internet just as fast as before, but all of the linux boxes didn't. It has been this way for about a month and I'm getting tired of slower-than-dial-up speed. I know that it isn't my NIC because I have a vmware machine running on the same nic that is windows and it works fine. I have deduced that it is either that microsoft has found a way to make this router/modem incompatible with linux, or that I have a configuration problem. I have thought that it is my routing table, but I can't figure out how to delete anything out of it. I know that I have my ip and all that information set up correctly because its set through dhcp. my resolv.conf seems to be fine because its the same as it was before the dsl modem switch. Any help that anyone could provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
