I am using fedora. using vmware, and config with 3 network card.
I can ping, e.g ping www.yahoo.com.
but i cant access any webpage using browser.
Can anyone know the problem?
Thanks
you are possibly firewalled for port 80 tcp traffic and instead you have to go via a web proxy in order to reach a site. at a most basic level, can you use either curl or wget to grab a webpage outside of any fancy browser and their millions of settings?
have you tried going to the IP addresses in case its a DNS issue for the browser? Although rare I have seen it happen before. You could Try google's IP (72.14.207.99) as a test.
