intel mobile centrino

I have a gateway 8510gz laptop, 100gig hd, 512mb ram, no network card yet. I am using centrino mobile to connect wirelessly. I need to know if Suse10, fedora core support the use of this wireless connection and if not what distro does. I want to take off Windows xp home edition and put a linux distro on as my primary workstation not server. Also is Suse free?

Try mandriva 2006; they have official support for centrino.

Which processor, which wireless card?

Every new kernel and so every new distro supports Pentium M and ipw2200, if its what you have.
I'm using kernel 2.6.16 on a debian works perfect.
You need to see if speedstep cpu frequency changing works, if your card works and if acpi works.
