Inconsistent connection to apache through my LAN

I have set up a linux system (SuSe 9.0 pro) with apache mysql and php. I do my web development on an xp home edition system and sometimes a 98 system. When I am viewing the pages from linux in my browser on my windows systems the pages will display fine and I can refresh a moment later and it cannot find the server. If I keep refreshing it will eventually display the page again, but this pattern repeats itself quite often.

My LAN runs through a Netgear router that acts as the DHCP server and firewall for my satellite broadband. I am a newbie when it comes to linux so I am not sure what I am doing or how to figure out what the problem might be.
Thanks,
rldustin
