In need of the Collective Conscience

Okay,

I've spent a HELL OF A LOT OF TIME (Since last wednesday to the time of this post) checking out Debian, E-Smith 7.22a, E-Smith Server 6.0, Fedora Core3, CentOS 4, and Ubuntu trying to find a server solution. (all tried with webmin, except e-smith). Some ditros got two or three runs!

I'm not the shadow of a linux guru, I'm am an end user ( and probably not even very good at that!) I use Command line sometimes, but revert to GUI's if I get stuck. I use kubuntu (having migrated from the Fedora Distro's, although I could add, who doesn't )

I need a webserver, a remote public access data storage solution, a network file and print server and a DHCP server. I would like multiple NIC's (I currently run three in my server hooked up to a 4 port router, 4th port goes to the local area network).

All the above listed distros can do everything I require. The sad link in the chain is me. There are strong cons and pros for each OS. I don't want an OS debate, I need the collective conscience. I need the real GURU's to step back and say what if I didn't know linux like the back of my hand, I need the newbies that tried some vague, unknown, new software/distro that made it all easy to speak up and contribute.

At the end of the day, I can't step forward because I can't choose betwen the distros, It's my fault not the distros.

But I really need some help with this, I need to get some sleep this week!

Regards

Mick

CentOS is well used throughout the net and is based on Redhat and is therefore pretty solid. I'd use that.
