Imap Server Problem

I am writing a secured mail client for IMAP Server using PHP.
The thing is working fine on my LAN. But external access is not possible to the web based front end.
I am behind a firewall, running RHL 9.0 on my mail server.
IMAPS is running on the Mail Server.
There is no host denied.

What can be the cause?

which firewall you are using..iptables ?
Let us know the firewall rules.."iptables -L -n".
