Question how to set log-level of automount?

hello,

i got problems using the automounter with nis-shared maps. i always get a message in the client's syslog:

lookup(yp): lookup for xyz failed: request arguments bad

i can't figure out what's wrong... maybe more information from the automounter would be helpful... how can i set the log level to a higher one? i want to know, witch arguments the automounter uses...

a ypcat -k auto.master (also the other maps) shows the expectet maps...
