Hi

I have installed net-snmp-5.5 on linux pc.then i started snmp agent.i was able to snmpwalk for localhost on command line.

snmpwalk -v 2c -c public localhost sysLocation.0

then i am running snmpagent in one linux pc.i tried snmpwalk from remote machine.i stop the firewall.but i was not able to snmpwalk from remote system

snmpwalk -v 2c -c public remoteip sysLocation.0

below mentioned is snmpd.conf file

AGENT BEHAVIOUR:

agentAddress udp:127.0.0.1:161

ACCESS CONTROL:

how to send snmpwalk request from one system to another system where agent is running.

The agent needs to listen on a specific ip or 0.0.0.0:161 or you have to be able to forward the requests to 127.0.0.1 if you must have it listening there
