I am tamil.i have installed centos on my pc.then i have installed vmware on linux pc.then Freenas server act as a Questos on linux pc.i need to send text and image file from linux , windows and my target board(ln2440sbc).now i was able to send image and textfile from windows(winscp) and my linux pc(use scp command) to freenas server.but i am not able to send image and textfile from my target board(ln2440sbc).if i run this command from target board's terminal

scp text.txt freenas serverip:/mnt/freenas

it shows error

scp:command not found

so i need to create this command for my target(ln2440sbc using arm).so i have downloaded openssh-34p1.tar.gz.i cross-compiled for arm-linux by using command
./configure --host=arm-linux

it shows error

checking for deflate in -lz... no
configure: error: *** zlib missing - please install first or check config.log ***

i want to know how to cross compile any source code for target boards(ex:ln2440sbc).

can anyone help me
