Unhappy Trying to cross-compile mono for ARM

I'm trying to build the mono 1.2.4 runtime binary on a Linux PC for an ARM based target running Linux.

I've looked at the mono web site but can't find full instructions on how to build mono for the supported ARM target.

Can anyone explain the required configure options to select my ARM cross-toolchain ?

Also, do I need scratchbox ? If so, how do I incorporate my target's root file system into scratchbox ? I'm guessing that I need to construct a devkit ?

Any help is appreciated.

@ Gajendra PH : Welcome to LQ.

Mono is supposed to be platform / architecture independent.
I.e. no cross compiling, install as is.

Example : The seventeen mono packages for Debian, for all
architectures http://packages.debian.org/sid/mono-devel
