how to configure network full duplex 100Mb

Hello all I have a 10/100Mb network card full duplex in my Redhat 9 server and in my w2k machine. I have a 10/100Mb switch. According to the lights on the switch both nics should be working at 100 full. In windows I can verify it is set properly, but I dont know how to configure the settings in linux. The card is running about 1Mb instead of 100Mb. Is there a configuration for the card, or is it purely a driver issue? I would like to avoid recompiling the kernel if I can. Any thoughts?

Use mii-tool to determine what the card is configured for. If it's set to 100mbit (it has to be if the switch is indicating that), then you have a protocol issue or some misconfiguration at another network layer. It's not a layer 1 problem, it's something higher up the network stack.
