I just bought a Linksys router to hook up to my linux box which has Fedora Core 1 on it. I'm not too familiar with Linux but im learning it. Can anyone help me get it up and running online?

Type the following as root in a command prompt:
Code:
ifconfig eth0 up
dhcpcd eth0

Mayby but would say Fedora would use dhclient..
But still ifconfig eth0 up and if it is not configured you could still use netconfig..

Right Zero instead of o...
To see the stack status just
ifconfig
and all the available interfaces are displayed... It could be nice if you could post the results here :-)

/sbin/ifconfig
/sbin is not in a regular user path.
To see what type of chipset that is on the card look at the output of
lspci

This would mean your up and running (as soon as you have an ip).
now (in a console) cat /etc/resolv.conf to see if there is some DNS, if not put some and enjoye!
