Find out what the external IP is

Hi I have Redhat 7.2 with 2 NICs and a DSL connection. How do I find out what the external IP is?

Are you using a hardware router or does one the NICs connect directly to the DSL modem?

If connected directly to the modem then:
/sbin/ifconfig ppp0

/sbin/ifconfig eth0 for you ethernet card

Try this:
lynx -dump http://www.whatismyip.com | grep Your | awk {'print $4'}

or:
wget -qO - http://www.whatismyip.com | grep TITLE | awk {'print $4'}
