# vi /etc/sysctl.conf
# Controls IP packet forwarding
net.ipv4.ip_forward = 1
Now in the above configuration will the windows machine1 can see the shared contents and the computername of windows machine3 if he browses his network neibhourhood..If not ? any possibility!!. with out using SAMBA.

ok do the following
#vi /etc/sysctl.conf
sys_ip_forward =0 [something like this]
make that 0 to 1
#/sbin/sysctl -p
But i dont under stand why you are making a router if your all the ip are on the same network
i mean 192.168.10.0/24. you can just go and buy your self a 4 port swithch. You would need a router if you had my situation.the situation i have posted above!!
