DSL through USB?
I have Slackware 10 and want to install in on this computer. Yes I am moving from Windows to Linux completely. No duel boot, complete Linux machine. I have played with Windows for years and I am bored and need a change.
But one thing. After the install, I don't want to fight for hours or days trying to get my connection up. I have DSL right now going through my USB connection.
My question is will Slackware 10 detect the DSL modem through my DSL or will I have to fight with it. I want to know so I am prepare ahead of time for any extensive work.
Like I said, I will install it but I want to play with it and have fun. Not fight with getting it to work. I have installed it on our Laptop first, which got soda spilled on it so it is gone (LOL). But it installed just fine with no problems. The laptop just never got connected to the internet so I was never sure about the DSL thing.
