domain changed during mail transfer

I recently registered a new domain to my computer. I now have a working postfix (similar to sendmail) configuration working for my email. Now if i send a test email to jordanbray@gmail.com i find that my domain has changed to power.insightbb.com (power is my computers name, insightbb is the domain of my isp) but i can send an email from jordanbray@gmail.com to my domain and have no problems.

Any ideas??

2 things that come to mind:

1. you might need to configure /etc/postfix/main.cf and /etc/mailname slightly differently

2. your isp might be rewriting your domain name, although they actually should not.
you might be able to tell postfix not to relay emails though your ips smtp server but to conntact the destination smtp servers directly though i am not sure that this is a good solution. could well be that reconfigureing postfix files will do the trick.
