dlink pci

i am not quite sure what model it is but it is a dlink wireless pci card. I have a linksys wmp11 and that is how i am typing this message. My brother bought one and can't get it to work. I tried the wlan-ng drivers but it said when it did modprobe prism2_pci like to look in dmesg and the irqs might be wrong, i know that isn't the problem. Has anyone had any experience and can help me out here?

It looks like the older version was fine, but newer ones are not - have a look at this -
