dhclient and localhost

I have recently got my adsl working on Debian using dhclient to talk to my router. The problem now is when I run dhclient my localhost loopback loses it's IP address. ANyone know why?

Just a guess, try specifying which interface dhclient should use.

Sorry, this is very new to me, how do I do that? Is it in my dhclient.conf?

Currently it is very simple and looks like:

alias {
interface "eth0";
}

lease {
interface "eth0";
option domain-name-servers 203.216.70.70;
}
