Hello everyone, i Need your help.
I'm trying to connect my crunchbang++ netbook to a samba server properly configured on archlinux arm. I can connect from my other machines without issues (Windows and Mint notebook). The netbook can connect both on wifi and lan without issues and can browse the web. When i try to connect to shares from thunar i receive this error
Code:
 impossibile to mount "/ on"
Not supported location
Before i tried to install Debian lxqt and It connected properly ti samba shares but It runs slowly on this old netbook. Can you help me please? Thank you in Advance. Kind regards. Marco

A quick search online turns up results showing that gvfs-backends may be missing perhaps. Not a lot to go on here though.

For example...

Hello and thank you very much for your answer. Unfortunately i already tried this solution without success. It Is correctely installed.

this is when i connect with smbclient

Quote:
Enter WORKGROUP\root's password:

Sharename Type Comment
--------- ---- -------
Hdd Disk Marco' stuff
IPC$ IPC IPC Service (Samba Server)

Reconnecting with SMB1 for workgroup listing.
smbXcli_negprot_smb1_done: No compatible protocol selected by server.
protocol negotiation failed: NT_STATUS_INVALID_NETWORK_RESPONSE
Failed to connect with SMB1 -- no workgroup available
As you can see smbclient can see the server's shared folder but can't connect.

You should make sure that SMBv1 is not in use.(It is deprecated for widely known security reasons.) Show us the global section of your smb.conf perhaps. The server should also be using SMB2+ as well.
