Im trying to install DriverLoader in my ongoing attempts to get my wpc54g to work with linux. i ran the rpm package that supposedly installed the package, after which im supposed to go to http://127.0.0.1:18020. However, when I try to go there, or localhost, or localhost:18020 etc, I get the error:
"The connection was refused when attempting to contact localhost."
What can I do? Ive tried logging in as root and it wont go either.
Check your iptables ruleset (firewall). Do an iptables -F and then see if it works. If that works then run your firewall configurator and allow incoming on that port.

First and most basic, do netstat -anA inet and see if port 18020 is even listed. If it's not there, then the daemon isn't listening which is your whole problem.
Come to think of it, you only said you installed the RPM, you never said you started the service.
ok well im still very new at this and trying my best to play around, but having some trouble. i didnt have the driverloader rpm installed right, so thats why my 18020 port wasnt working. i finally got it installed, and 18020 now does work, but the page comes up blank. throughout the install it said perl was having errors and that my webconfig wouldnt work. im running out of ideas, but im still messing around with it, hoping that i can get it to work so i can finally get connected to the net with rh
