conflict between NIC

I have two realtek 8139 ethernet cards mounted on Acorp 5tx29 mainboard. It seems that the ethernet card mounted on the first pci slot it's working. The other one it's viewable, but i don't have ping to my LAN. The first (eth0) is for internet connection, the second(eth1) is for LAN connection. I am just a begginer in linux, and i don't know what to do. Please help a brother...

PCI slot's working with other hardware, but not with my ethernet.

it's probably not because it's hardware defective and I don't think your NIC has conflict if you don't set them the same static IP.

As for the eth0, you need to set to obtain ip from dhcp while the other u may set to static ip.

both cards are set to static ip...i don't refer to ip conflict .
I was thinking it's a irq conflict.

i am working at that and i discovered that one is on irq5, and the other one it's on irq6.

that's why i am thinking that i have another problem....did you see something like that before..?
