Thumbs down modem / NIC Windoze conflict

Howdy,

A new problem has arisen with my Samba adventures, where on my Windoze box I now cannot browse the Internet on my modem unless I disable my NIC in the hardware profile. Don't know how this happened - it was literally working and then not working (so it seemed, anyways).

The popular string that describes my Samba woes that lead to this trouble is here:

Help?

)M.

Answered my own question:

In Windoze, if you have a Gateway on your NIC, it can transfer over to the modem.

Cheers!
