assuming things haven't changed since the RH9 days, each interface has it's own config file:

/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-<interface>
for example, the configuration for
eth0 would be:

once again, this assumes things haven't changed since RH9... oh, and IIRC the gateway is set in the
/etc/sysconfig/network file...
