compatible ethernet cards for red har enterprise linux 3.0

Please let me know the compatible ethernet cards for Red Hat Enterprise Linux version 3.0. I tried SMC 9452TX but not able to load the driver. I found
one but when tried to install, says "incompatible" as my linux version
(2.4.21-4.ELsmp) and the driver doesn't match and i tried to compile one
but is throwing up error "kstat undeclared or something". Please share
if there is a work around or any ethernet which works with the abover version.

Question would be whether they have been supplied with your kernel or not..
Have a look in /lib/modules/2.4.21-4.ELsmp/kernel/drivers/net/
