dear members

it seems these a common problem here we need some one to help cleary it

I am running BIND it working well
i am able to connect to my website and webmail from the internet
by http//www.domain.com

BUT when i try to connect to http//www.domain.com on any PC from my network
i can not access my website and webmail....

I have 3.com firewall my IP is 192.168.0.5 NAT 195.168.44.16
i have a router with 192.168.0.10 NAT 195.168.44.19
gateway 192.168.0.253

when type my external IP(195.168.44.16) from any PC outside my LAN i can access the website

when type my internal IP(192.168.0.5) IP from any PC inside my LAN i can access the website but when i type 195.168.44.16 OR http//www.domain.com i cannot access my website

any help please

Have you edited /etc/resolv.conf on your other machines so they are using your BIND server as DNS server?

but the other local network PC are runing windows...

and on their primary and secondary DNS options
i have ip like these 212.156.4.1 and 212.156.4.20 ...since we are using leased line to connect to internet we this IP's without them we can not connect to internet....

You could always edit their hosts file to point www.domain.com to your server. Windows also has a host file like linux tho i cant remember where it is. Somewhere in the windows directory

hosts file in windows is located at

windows XP
c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts

for windows 2000 and nt i think the above windows is replaced by winnt

i replaced the primary dns 212.156.4.1 with the local IP(192.168.0.5) of the machine hosting the DNS
