FC2 DNS domain resolve problem

when connecting to the internet using the speedtouchconf file (i'm sure you'll all know what that is). it connects to the internet fine, but when i try to visit a website, such as google.com i get an error message saying it cannot be found.

if i try to get to a site using it's IP it works fine.

i can't ping domain names, or visit them. this is a fresh install of FC2 and it worked fine before i had done this.
