Cant connect with wicd in backtrack 5 r3 neither with wireless or wired

I installed Backtrack 5 r3 in my hard drive and now I dual boot with Windows. I followed the instructions in the basic usage page of Backtrack to remove the initial error with wicd, i rebooted, and when opened wicd, it displayed a "No wireless networks found" text even they are networks around.

I already put wlan0 in the preferences.

Heres some info about the output of some commands:

airmon-ng doesnt show any interfaces:
Code:
airmon-ng
Interface Chipset Driver
Code:
iwconfig
lo no wireless extensions
eth0 no wireless extensions
Code:
lspci

Ive been in google searching for my problem but many of the people that had the problem did have interfaces with wireless extensions or had other source of the problem, based on my research, I think I need a driver, but I dont know which one, I would be grateful if you tell me how did you know which is it if I need one, if linux has a list of everything it supports or something.

Also, I tried to connect with an ethernet cable, and even it showed up in wicd, when I clicked connect, after some seconds it displayed a "Connection failed: Unable to obtain IP address." text.

Thanks in advance.

Re

Ok, thanks, I will try that, just one more question; Im reading this tutorial on how to uninstall backtrack: http://buffernow.com/uninstall-backt...ecover-window/, but theres a part that says "So make sure that you have bootable disk or have an bootable image in your usb drive.", this is in case windows doesnt boot normally after deleting backtrack, but I dont have any dvd with windows 8, it came preinstalled in my computer, is there another way or I need to get a dvd with windows?
