Dear sir,
Cannot activate network device eth0!"
device eth0 does not seem to be present, delaying initialization".
i cannot find my network card while i set up network configuration
please help me

Do you HAVE a network card?
What brand, make and chipset?
Wired, wireless or subspace comms?
PCI, ISA, PCMCIA, or other interface?

Atheros should not pose any problems. It has excellent drivers for Linux.

Become root
type 'lsmod | grep theros' and see if a module is loaded for your NIC

I run with a 3COM on board card:

root@Beryllium:/home/jan/tmp#

If your module is not loaded, load it now with modprobe. I don't know the name of your driver.
