Question can be a broadcast problem?

Hi guys!

My network (Gigabit wire cat.6 FTP) is formed by:
- firewall UBUNTU 10.04LTS with 3 nic (WAN-DMZ with W2k3 active directory and file sharing-Internal with 4 Vlan)
-switch Cisco Linksys SGE2000P

My firewall is configured with shorewall and I can route in all networks with rules defined in /etc/shorewall/masq and filtering packets with rules in /etc/shorewall/rules.

Now, my trouble is when copying files from clients on vlan to server in dmz but not always.
If I copy the same file from more client I have a windows error check to be connected on network and try again!

If I copy the same files from ftp service It works so I think that maybe the problem is due to broadcast signaling that firewall blocks from vlan to dmz!

Thanks anyone can help me to figure out this kind of problem.

Best regards
Gianni

Thanks for reply!

When I cut (or) copy large files from a client machine to my Domain Controller W2K3 the files starts to copy, but after some minutes I'll get a Network Error massage: There is a problem accessing \\folder\... Make sure you are connected to the network and try again.

I get three choices: Try again, skip or cancel. Try again does not work and the other choices does not copy my files.

Any idea?

PS My domain controller is on dmz network (172.18.110.x) and clients are on (172.18.120.x with vlan id 120)
