welcome to LQ!!!

in order for the LQ community to help you, you will have to ask more specific questions... just asking for help configuring BIND is too much of a broad request... what have you tried so far?? where are you stuck?? when you say that you are an amateur, exactly how much experience do you mean you have??

You can find rpms for bind at:
http://rpmfind.net/linux/rpm2html/se...mit=Search+...

Choose whichever is most appropriate for your distribution.

You can find the DNS HOWTO at:
http://www.tldp.org/HOWTO/DNS-HOWTO.html

They should help you get started. If you still need help then please submit a specific question what type of server you are trying to setup, and what feature you are struggling with.
