Hi guys:

i can't active my network card due to my RH 9.0 can't obtain a ip from DHCP server. it works pretty good if manually assign a ip address.

I believed it is something wrong with my kernel. i updated my kernel from 2.4.8 to 2.4.22 few months ago. I have no problem to obtain ip under my old kernel but not the new one. i recompile my kernel and tick all of possible options i cound think but it still not working. also, i checked my firewall setting so that it would n't block dhcp message.

anyone have a clue what to do?
