Unhappy Broadband Internet connection in Xandros

Hi,Im new to LinuxQuestions.Org .

Im Using Xandros 3.0 Open Circulation Edition and would like to know
how to connect to my broadband internet connection

I live in India and am using "Iqara" MB based package

Please tell me how to connect to the internet in Xandros

I've tried setting the internet connection through the
control center > Networking> Internet Connection>New

I set up a new PPPover Ethernet connection and gave the name of my isp
but it didnt work.

Perhaps im wrong .Need help Desperately

If you have broadband you probably should dhcpcd or dhclient since your ISP probably have a dhcp-server.

In Windows (if you use that as well) have you your settings as
"automatically recieve an ip-adress"?

In that case you should use dhcpcd or dhclient.
