bootloader w/ network
Im trying to write a bootloader in assembly with TCP/IP protocols built in.
1) It will detect the Network card.
2) it will load a text interface in which the network boot location is specified by the user (ip adress).
3) It will attemt to boot off of the remote computer
I am planning to image a Harddrive with linux and share the image using ftp. i think i may use knoppix disk as the image. the computers the operating system will be put on are 350's w/ 64 megs of ram and a floppy drive (no HD). (the bootloader will be put on a floppy disk and the computer will boot from there. The entire thing will be written in assembler (unless someone has a better idea). The problem is, How do I impliment the TCP/IP protocol in it. I have the bootlader worked out for everything but that... Any help would be great..
