bandwith control

hi, just want to ask how can I control our bandwith, our server is using mandrake 10.1 and the internet connected to this server.It serve as our gateway..
please help..this my project given to me by my manager..

I don`t know if that is helping, but....

if controll just means that you want to see what the traffic is like, use 'iptraf' of 'nmap'

if controll means that you want to restrict the bandwith i have no idea how that is done under mandrake.. sorry
