Automatic ftp login for WinXP to Linux

I want to create a MSDOS bat file that will be executed on WinXP
machine. In this file I want to:

1. ftp to a linux box (without user intervention).
I can include my user name and password to
the bat script. I don't care about security.
2. And I want to put one file to the Linux box.

I know how to write a shell script to do this from one Linux box
to second Linux box. But I need your help to write a bat script to do this.

ok no idea if this is the best way of doing this but it worked for me before.

create a file with the commands you want to run, say commands.txt in here put for example:

open hostname
username
password
cd /tmp/
put c:\myfile
bye

then in your batch file, say ftp.bat have:
ftp -s:commands.txt

anyway i think you get the idea.
