Exclamation WinXP user can not login LINUX File Server.

I've a problem with login between WinXP and Linux file server: when I run command in Win XP: \\, then 'Connect to' window is popuped with the disabled username (\Guest) and the enabled Password.

Who cant I solve this problem?

what is the security set to in the smb.conf ?
Have you done the registry edit on the XP clients?

Open up a dos prompt and type the following..
net use t: \\samba_srv\share /user:domain\username
You will be prompted for a user password. If successful, the shared directory will be mapped to "T:" drive.

Also, have you created a valid user? "smbpasswd -a username"

I run command 'gpedit.msc' in win XP to change default network access: Sharing and security model for local accounts and 'gpupdate /force', but unsuccessfully to login Linux

I don't know how to change in smb.cnf for solving this problem. Please give me the fields I need to change in smb.cnf.
