Anybody else with a Linksys router experiencing problems?

I've got a BEFW11S4 and my friend has a WRT something (54G). Both of our routers wireless signals work fine, but we can't move information through the router. We can't get online through the router, and it's really annoying. If I powerflush it, it'll work, but I shouldn't have to be powerflushing it every 20 minutes. Anybody got any ideas/had a similar problem and fixed it?

Have you configure your networks cards to your routers gateway?

when you say powerflush do you mean reset the gateway hardware or something else in the configuration?

Are you trying to configure the gateway from a wireless interface? If so it might be easier to configure from an ethernet adapter on either Windows or Linux using web browser to access the gateway according to the user manual for the gateway.

If your ISP uses a PPPoE connection then you should be able to set up the username and password in the router configuration.

Once you have it setup from ethernet connector then you can work on the wireless machines to connect to the router. The main thing is that on the clients you have to specify the IP address of the GATEWAY in
/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-<interface>
and other parameters including
NETMASK, BROADCAST, ESSID, KEY

If you are trying to have both routers up and running at the same time and talking to each other, then I would suggest just using one of them and connecting all wireless devices to the one gateway/router.
