Ok I just switched from a D-Link router to a linksys (Model BEFSR41).. I was able to fwd port 5555 to port 23 to my linux server... ( Public port to private port) and it worked... Now that I have a new router, it went all to heck. I cant access my server (on port 23) anymore.. Anyone have similar problems?? I have read a few things on linksys routers and nothing seemed to help.
I know for a fact that my router does NOT support me trying to access port 23... Is there a way to fwd port 555 to 23??? i found no way to do that, maybe I am missing something?

Accessing it works inside my network again, but not outside.. This is how i know its the router..

Some Stats:
LinkSys Router BEFSR41
running ps2, Win XP and Linux 8.0
I am currently using Static IP settings
Block Ping
Not sure if I should use upnp( unsure what it is)
Updated Firmware 1.44.2

Any suggestions???
btw I already tried port fwding 23 to my server (192.168.1.101) this is where my server is at.. Did not work
