activating pptp tunnel at boot time

Hello, I use this simple command in xterm to connect to the internet: pptp 10.0.0.138 call mmedia.
My question is twofold, can I insert/add this command to the boot process so that I connect to the internet when I start Linux? And secondly is there any way to reset the connection automatically when it is lost?
