2Wire PC Port Phoneline 10-Mbps USB Adapter?
is it possible to get the 2Wire PC Port Phoneline 10-Mbps USB Adapter to work under Mandrake 9.1? are there any open drivers to make it work? and if so how would i configure them? i am connected through sbc's home portal network... i just recently installed linux Mandrake and dual booting with win2k pro and i am still learning. I would love to switch over to a full linux box but i need to be able to connect to the network for my DSL, please help me. thank you

I'm having a similar problem right now too. I have a usb Shark pocket ethernet adapter, and I'm trying to connect to my Netgear router.
Mandrake 9.1 recognizes the card and has a driver for it, but when I try to set up the network in the Mandrake Control Center, it can't detect anything. I have no clue as to modifying the boot code, and am not even sure it would do any good if I started messing with it. It seems like the card should be supported since Mandrake detected it...
I can ping myself (127.0.0.1) but I can't ping the router. I'm guessing there is some dhcp configuration I'm missing.

LMAO......I wish I was the one directly connected to modem via ethernet. It'd be so easy. Redhat broadband is configured to use ethernet by default...
