100 link but no flow problem

Hello

I have a network connection problem
my hub and network card detect a 100 connection
but no packets flow on this line unless i force the connection to 10 (half duplex) and then it works fine.
i have about 40 meters cable (category 5) between the computer and the hub.
now i know according to the regulations it should support 100 link upto 330ft (100m).
another thing is that the cable run through an electricity box but as far as i understood a category 5 cable shouldn't have problems with it

does anyone know how to solve this problem?

thank you in advance
Erez

It could be due to the electric box but it would seem funny that it doesn't work at all. I would check that the devices at each end are capable of 100Mb

100 link

I have checked the device with a short cable and it works fine with 100 full duplex
with the othe cable that is in the walls it works only for 10 half duplex
