crushburn LQ Newbie Registered: Mar 2004 Distribution: SUSE Linux 8.1 Posts: 1 Rep:	Need help installing the D-Link DFE-670-TXD 10/100 Ethernet Card Hi there, Im an absolutely Linux Newbie! Ive learned a little bit Linux in school and now i wanted to install a network card under suse linux 8.1 professional. Kernel Version is 2.4.19-4GB. I´ve installed the custom pcmcia driver package where the dfe-670-txd is supported but the system doesnt find any card. so i tried to start the cardmgr. but it says : no pcmcia driver in /proc/devices when i want to start the pcmcia service manually there comes the following error: Starting kernel PCMCIA startproc: exit status of parent of /sbin/cardmgr: 1 So i dont know what to do plz help me if u can. greetz crush Last edited by crushburn; 03-10-2004 at 11:25 AM.
