Various issues with Ångström on iPAQ H4350

Well, bit the bullet today. Using instructions here I managed to get Ångström to boot on my H4350. Great! But the excitement was rather shortlived, as I hit some show-stoppers...

1) it doesn't seem to have installed properly. The files are on a 1 GB SD card, but after a reset it boots the original bootloader. I understand the HaRET bootloader supports my device, but it doesn't seem to be installed and I can't find any direction on how to do that. (or I missed it :-\)

2) the device can't connect, neither via USB nor wireless. I've played with settings on the iPAQ, but no luck so far. I did find some network interfaces, apparently USB, in the 192.168.0.200 range, but am I required to make some sort of gateway on my desktop for it? If so, how?

3) because of 2) I can't update the system or install new stuff. Basically, I need to know if there's a browser in the repo's so I can use it in the wild.

4) after a suspend the display doesn't light up, I have to reboot it the hard way to get it going again. Any remedy?

I did look at various other offerings, but those where all way out of date, at least 5 years and more.

There are instructions for this on the wiki

There is a gui package manager or you can just us ipkg directly on the command line. See here.

You can also use the web page to search for packages.

http://www.angstrom-distribution.org/repo/
Enter "browser" the serach box and you should find a couple.

Cheers,

Thanks, probably overlooked those. Will look into them over the next few days (once I have some time... :-\)
